My work challenges the notion of what is a painting and what is a sculpture. This idea intrigued me because as a painter I found that I was constantly pushing my work to the point where rips, tears and wrinkles began to create a new language in my 2D work. This moved me slowly towards the idea of movement and participation was important to my practice.
