With stained and leaded glass, I use contemporary cutting and leading techniques in this ancient art form to assemble colors and sparkle that will emerge and grow with the light. Expertise in the techniques of staining, fusing, and etching contributes additional possibilities. My artwork can be projected into the dark space of a room or of a person’s life and grow there too. It is a daily drama that comes alive with light, and changes as light changes. Even so, it swims into the room as it is reborn with the light. The physical world informs me. My creative world transforms me. I hope to transform others as well. Much of the artwork I do in my studio is site specific and done on commission. Besides the glass art work, I design and fabricate mosaic pavements of marble and granite that are installed for clients. (I studied with Lucio Orsoni in Venice, Italy.) I also make mosaic sculptures some of which are exhibited at the studio.
