Bird to St Louis
Schoultz Mudd paintings are contemporary landscape based explorations at the intersection of readable imagery and the abstract. It is this artist’s vehicle for visually exploring man’s relationships, and historical connections to the planet and our impact upon it. Much of her work uses map and satellite imagery as a point of departure.
Countless layers of color are built up by mixing and glazing to achieve the luminous quality for which her work is known. Various art mediums provide the foundation for surface texture. Found and altered objects are used to as descriptors of the portrayed area.
These mixed media paintings are represented by galleries and consultants and can be commissioned for a specialized interest.
